Fugtadiabatisk proces
Proces, der bestemmer, hvor stor temperaturfaldet hhv. temperaturstigningen vil være i opstigende eller nedsynkende mættet luft, hvor der ikke sker varmeudveksling med omgivelserne. Ved opstigning af mættet luft frigøres ved kondensation af vanddamp latent (bunden) varme, hvorfor temperaturfaldet bliver mindre end i tør umættet luft (tøradiabatisk proces). Temperaturændringen i mættet luft er ca. 0,5°C pr. 100 meters højdeændring.
