Hedeindex
Hede Index (HI) er en måling af relativ komfort eller relativ diskomfort, i forhold til en kombination af varme og høj fugtighed. Den blev udviklet af R.G. Steadman (1979) og er baseret på psykiske studier af hud fordampning ved forskellige kompinationer af temperatur og fugtighed. Når temperturen overstiger 32 grader og fugtigheden er mere en 40%, er der risiko for hedeslag o.lign.
